KENYA Airways’ marketing director Chris Diaz has been appointed a trustee of Pan-African marketing organisation- Brand Africa.

Diaz joins a seven-member board, led by founder and executive chairman Thebe Ikalafeng of South Africa. The organisation is seeking to position Africa as “a favourable investment destination”.

The appointment comes two months after Diaz’s reappointment by President Uhuru Kenyatta to the Brand Kenya board, charged with showcasing and promoting Kenya as an investment hub.

Other Kenyans on the board include Gina Din Kariuki and Richard Kiplagat.

Also appointed are Prof Richard Mkandawire of Malawi, Omar Ben Yedder (Tunisia) and Dr Jacqueline Chimhanzi(Zimbabwe).

Brand Africa is an inter-generational movement focusing on promoting partnerships and a catalytic environment for investment, tourism and active citizenship.
