Harambee Stars goalkeeper Boniface Oluoch is happy to have kept  a clean sheet in the clash with Mauritius. Oluoch made a couple of good saves to deny the Mauritians at the Moi Sports Centre Kasarani and ensure the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

The draw secured a 5-2 aggregate win over the Mauritians and ensured the Stars can now look forward to facing Cape Verde in a few weeks time in round 1 proper of 2018 World Cup qualifying.

Oluoch in taking positives from the clash was happy to pick up a clean sheet as he looks forward to the upcoming matches.

“I am happy that we did manage to get a result and the clean sheet for me as a goalkeeper,” he said.

I thought we looked very good in the match and that we played very pleasing football and I trust the fans enjoyed themselves. We got the required result a few days earlier and it helped us play without too much pressure as we did not need to chase the game and that was good for us.”

“We now have to look forward and plan for the coming matches which are very important to us,” he added.

Stars next take on Cape Verde in their next qualifying clash in November.
