General Motors has launched a new show room in Nakuru which will partly be used as a training centre for drivers. The showroom which was set up in partnership with GM’s authorised dealer AMCG is worth Sh600 million was opened yesterday.

“When complete, the experiential centre built around the showroom concept, will boast a 4×4 test track challenge to be used to train drivers and owners of new 4×4 flagship models, a kiddies play area and a V-V-I-P invite only cashless cafeteria and lounge area complete with a rooftop terrace,” said GM managing director for East Africa Rita Kavashe.

Kavashe said that the showroom will enhance accessibility of GM products such as Isuzu and Chevrolet by customers in the country’s western region.

“We have embarked on a growth journey that will see us get into strategic partnerships with local dealers who are keen on growing their businesses by delivering GM’s renowned brands like Isuzu and Chevrolet to our customers across the country,” said Kavashe.

Kavashe said that the showroom will ensure that their customers will able to get the actual user experience of the vehicle. ACMG Managing Director Imran Khan said, “This investment demonstrates our long term affiliation with Nakuru and our growing optimism regarding the county’s business prospects.” The centre also hosts an accessories store where clients can source branded lifestyle merchandise like apparel, shades, key rings among others.
